BRONCOS

Right now, it appears as though the Broncos are heading toward a rebuild

Nov 10, 2020, 5:00 AM

The Broncos loss to the Falcons was a snap back to reality. Drew Lock was seeing ghosts, the defense gave up big plays, the running game was non-existent, and the play calling left a lot to on the table.

Atlanta is a bad football team. And they flat out embarrassed Denver.

Lock does not shoulder all the blame. The defense got gutted by Matt Ryan. Phillip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon were terrible. And Pat Shurmur cannot seem to draw up game plans. With that said, Lock was bad.

He made errant throws, the offensive line only gave up one sack, and he threw a terrible pick that ended up being the game-winning touchdown. As of right now, Lock is not the future quarterback of this franchise.

The Broncos are now 3-5 and should be thankful they’re even that good. This team regularly shoots itself in the foot. Neither side of the ball is good enough to carry the other.

I know there are injuries, but this is the NFL. Every team is injured, and chalking it all up to injuries is something only losing franchises do.

So where do the Broncos go from here? At 3-5, with no real light at the end of the tunnel, do they blow it all up? Do you trust this front office to rebuild this team?

There are still plenty of games for Drew lock to turn this around, but at this point, the Broncos do not have their future QB. If the season ends, and Drew lock and this offense stay the same, it is time to commit to an actual rebuild.

That includes this front office.
