DENVER – Bonneville Denver has announced George Karl will be joining Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan as a Denver Nuggets analyst, making exclusive appearances across the station’s terrestrial and digital channels throughout the NBA restart in Orlando, including the NBA Playoffs.

Karl is the sixth winningest coach in NBA history with 1,175 regular season victories. As head coach of the Nuggets from 2004-‘13, he led the team to the playoffs every season. In his final season with Denver, he helped guide the club to an NBA franchise record 57 victories and was named coach of the year.

“I’m not sure there’s anyone in Denver more excited about basketball restarting than Coach Karl,” said Raj Sharan, Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan program director. “We’re thrilled to have Coach Karl appearing on all of our shows to give his opinion on what he’s seeing from the Nuggets, delivering the honesty that he’s known for.”

Karl currently hosts the podcast “Truth + Basketball,” exploring his over 40-year career in the sport as a player and coach. He previously worked as a television analyst with ESPN and TNT. In 2017, HarperCollins published his memoir “Furious George: My Forty Years Surviving NBA Divas, Clueless GMs, and Poor Shot Selection.”

His head coaching experience also includes time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Seattle SuperSonics, Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings and USA Men’s World Championship Team. As a player, Karl was an All-American at the University of North Carolina before spending five seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
