Report: Broncos veteran DT Kyle Peko opts out of 2020 NFL season

Jul 28, 2020, 8:05 AM

Denver Broncos veteran defensive tackle Kyle Peko has opted to sit out the 2020 NFL season, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, citing concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Peko, who signed with Denver as a college free agent in 2016, appeared in seven games for the Broncos from 2016 to 2017 and has spent time on the team’s practice squad.

With Peko figuring to be a key piece along the defensive interior, the announcement seemingly deals a blow to the Broncos defensive line depth.
