Broncos Injury Report: The Ja’Wuan James saga continues
Dec 13, 2019, 7:00 AM
It’s not unusual for a player to be injured multiple times during a season. It’s also not all that bizarre for one to deal with a lingering ailment for multiple games.
That said, the situation the Broncos are dealing with at right tackle is unlike anything in recent memory. After returning to the lineup on Sunday against the Texans, Ja’Wuan James is once again not practicing, still nursing the knee he injured in the season opener and re-injured in Week 8 against the Colts.
All told, the player Denver gave a four-year, $51 million contract to during the offseason hasn’t played an entire game. He played 10 snaps in Oakland, a quarter in Indianapolis and a half at Houston. And now, he may not play in Kansas City.
It’s a strange situation, but it’s just one of the injuries that Denver has to deal as they prepare to play the Chiefs. Plenty of other key players might not be able to go on Sunday.
