DMac asks Nate about his memories of Opening Day, and the guys run through the list of coaches John Elway has brought in since Bowlen moved on from Shanahan & McDaniels.
DMac wants Vic Fangio to keep things simple like we did for Paxton, and asks Nate if he’s noticed a Vic Fangio smokescreen. Nate has an idea to use two quarterbacks at one time.
DMac is annoyed with Tony Romo, and the guys agree what Romo does is not that hard, despite his big bank roll.
The guys debate if Elway’s best decision is to win now with Joe Flacco, go young and draft a QB, or try to do both & win now and later. DMac tells Nate after the Herm Edwards interview he’s been thinking, and N’Keal Harry is a better option than DK Metcalf & we can pick up a TE later.
Nate & Dmac talk about Todd Sauerbrun & Matt Prater, and their troubles with ordering taxis. Nate tells DMac a story about Deiontrez Mount facing assault charges after an altercation with an Uber driver.
The guys talk about the Broncos ownership, and if Denver is using the right process in arbitration & if the Bowlen trust should be shifted as time passes. Nate asks DMac about Charles Pratt & the pressure on him.
DMac & Nate break down Kyler Murray & the chances of him being a first-round bust. DMac pulls up Murray’s college stats compared to Tim Tebow, and Nate remembers RGIII and Eric Crouch.
