The Drive with DMac & Tom Nalen LIVE IN STUDIO!!!

Tom Nalen is upset about Matt Paradis signing with the Carolina Panthers, and can’t see the potential in guys like Connor McGovern & Garett Bolles. DMac say there is a lot for Ja’Wuan James to work on considering what he’s being paid.

The guys talk about a Von miller restructure & freeing up money to go after free agents. Tom Nalen says the Broncos need a Tight End & a pass rusher behind Von & Bradley, and DMac says we are now in the bargain basement.

Nalen agrees with DMac it’s hard for Elway to figure out which QB will fit his system, because none of them are taking snaps from under center. DMac says the Broncos need to draft a QB high in the draft, or just forget drafting one.

DMac says if you love Dwayne Haskins, trade up to get him. Tom Nalen says Trevor Siemian is the best of the backup QBs to go get, because he knows the system & Denver has other holes to fill. DMac plays audio of a 9-1-1 call made after the Cleveland Browns landed Odell Beckham, and Nalen says Denver has similar fans.

The guys talk about fall semester, and what major to choose in college. Also, paying for students to get into schools like USC.

Tom Nalen talks about press conferences, and what questions to ask John Elway. DMac asks Tom about his relationship with Elway, and zone blocking.

Tom Nalen reiterates his frustration with moving on from Matt Paradis & playing players out of position. DMac says there will always be free agent QBs available, so Elway doesn’t need to worry about drafting a QB.

The guys agree Connor McGovern outplayed his salary, projection & snaps. DMac says what a great pickup Matt LaCosse is for the Patriots, and scratches his head at the Broncos’ TE moves.
