Big Al & DMac open up the week broadcasting LIVE from Radio Row in Atlanta for the Super Bowl.
The fellas set the scene, talk about how their travel plans played out and who is going to be bunking with who while in Georgia! Adam Schefter of ESPN joined the show to talk about his plans for the week down in Atlanta, any update on the Broncos ownership situation and what’s the deal with the NFL letting Refs from Southern California officiate a game in Southern California that featured a team from Los Angeles. The Big Three brought up Anthony Davis requesting a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans and how things shook out in Mobile, AL this weekend with the Senior Bowl.
Hour two gets rolling with Al and DMac talking about the Patriots and their ability to figure out the pattern on how to win in the NFL and the challenges that they face this Sunday against the Rams in Super Bowl 53. Alfred thinks it’s going to be a big week for the Rams and Sean McVay. The fellas talk about what they’re going to ask some of the old Broncos players tonight during the opening night for Super Bowl week as we try to figure out what’s scary about the New England Patriots. Alfred floats the idea that Head Coaches around the NFL talk and that Sean McVay could’ve looked to the Shanahan family for pointers regarding how to beat the Patriots.
The third hour of the show got started with a cameo by Scott DeHuff, who spent his day with the Khaki-Pants Crew, Mike Evans and Mark Schlereth recording videos around Atlanta, who happens to be “in charge” on this Super Bowl trip! They dive into Super Bowl trips from the past, talking about how everybody has changed over the years with how they handle the nightlife. Al talks about being able to take his son to the College Football Hall of Fame for his first ever experience seeing himself in the Hall. Bill Romanowski popped on for a couple minutes to say hi as well as Mark Schlereth who swung by in the final thirty minutes of the show.
