Lammey: Chiefs game, not Cardinals, is Broncos 2018 ‘Super Bowl’

Oct 22, 2018, 1:01 PM

With all due respect given to the point of view of “The Drive” co-host DMac, “Pritchard and Cecil” co-host Cecil Lammey said this week against the Kansas City Chiefs is “Super Bowl” for the Denver Broncos.

Last week, ahead of a road matchup with the lowly Arizona Cardinals, DMac said because of the circumstances leading up to the game it was the biggest on the 2018 schedule for the Broncos.

Said Lammey on Monday, “All apologies to our buddy DMac, but this is their Super Bowl. Not the Cardinals game. Get out of here with that nonsense. This is the Super Bowl for the Denver Broncos.”

Lammey said that if Denver (3-4) can beat Kansas City (6-1), it could change the team’s “destiny.”

“You change everything if you can get this highly improbable win,” Lammey said.

Improbable indeed, as according to FiveThirtyEight.com the Broncos have just an 18 percent probability of winning against the Chiefs on Sunday. Only one game next week, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, has a wider differential of probability.
