Patrick Saunders joins the show to say everyone didn’t know how to react to Chad Bettis’ situation initially, but this should be something the Rockies can use to rally around. Saunders mentions Bettis’ veteran presence, and what we can expect him to bring in his first start tonight. Patrick says all Bettis has to do tonight is keep the Rockies in the ballgame, and build on that in his starts to come. Also, Big Al wants to know how we turn things around here at Coors Field, and Patrick notices some issues popping up.

Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about the struggles of Paxton Lynch & how Von Miller has become a one-man wrecking crew in team drills. Vance Joseph assumes Paxton Lynch is excited for his upcoming opportunity against the 49ers & to play with the ones, but Cecil notes how unsure the situation seems with not enough energy or personality coming from Paxton. Cecil says there needs to be an honest assessment of Lynch, and he’s looking for the alpha we need to see out of Paxton.

Adam Schefter joins the show to tell Al & DMac guys like Jared Crick are no longer out there on the waiver wire at this time of the year, and the Broncos must wait until cut-down day to find a replacement on the defensive line. Schefter says certain people have a certain QB presence to them, and men are drawn to follow them. Schefter notes that people change, and Paxton can grow up, but Trevor Siemian seems to be the one with that particular presence about him, not Lynch.

Mike Pritchard jumps on to tell us what he needs to see from Paxton Lynch for him to make a case to be the week 1 starter. Pritchard tells us if the Broncos need to panic with all of the injuries on the defensive line. Stokley throws out the idea to Pritchard on if the Broncos should try and trade for a guy like Sheldon Richardson.

Cecil joins the guys to talk about the quarterback battle. Cecil says he’s not ready to make the call on who the starter will be. Cecil also mentions that the Broncos are giving Paxton 3 games to play so that he can learn how to beat defenses and that the Broncos are giving him every opportunity to win the job.

DMac asks Crick what reps he needs to be ready for the season, and what it was like losing Billy Winn. Also, the differences from camp last year, a more physical O-Line & what he’s been telling Gotsis & the other Broncos youngsters.

Lexi Thompson joins the show to say her brother Curtis is the most talented, and she is still trying to move the game of golf forward. Lexi says her No. 1 goal is to be in the HOF & represent her country. Lexi notes that the British Open is a different game, but she’s learning every time she plays there. Thompson says she can’t describe the feeling of making shots for her country & carrying the women’s torch. Also, giving back to the fans & sponsors, and having too many shoes for the giveaway at the final event of the year.
