In the first hour, DMac and Tom discuss the Rockies’ impressive win against the Cubs at Wrigley Field this afternoon. The guys agree Peter Lambert’s pitching debut was very impressive. DMac says James Merilatt is raining on everyone’s parade by talking negatively about the Broncos’ Field Day today. Nicki Jhabvala, our Fan Broncos Insider, joined the program to break down her biggest observations from both OTAs and Mini Camp.
In the second hour, DMac and Tom discuss what they have seen from Joe Flacco so far this off-season, including his arm strength. Tom says DMac is overthinking Archie Manning being present at the Broncos’ practice this week, but DMac is adamant that Peyton Manning is up to something. Tom lays out a scenario in which John Elway and Peyton Manning could work together in the front office. DMac says he would be very excited about the direction of the team under Brittany Bowlen. The guys break down Peter Lambert’s pitching debut in Chicago today. The guys react to the negative feedback from Orlando Franklin, Zach Bye and Nick Ferguson regarding Field Day and defend the Broncos’ decision to cancel practice.
In the third hour, DMac and Tom hand out their high fives for the day. DMac includes a bonus high five for Peter Lambert after his stellar pitching performance earlier today. The guys close out the show discussing Phillip Lindsay, and the expectations that should be placed on him this season.
