In the first hour, DMac and Tom discuss the Raptors’ critical victory over the Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals last night. Is there a larger confrontation brewing between Draymond Green and Drake? DMac can’t understand why Tom doesn’t thing the National Spelling Bee contestants are impressive. The guys discuss Kyle Freeland’s breaking news. What does this mean for the Rockies’ rotation moving forward? DMac tries to decipher which former teammate Devontae Booker was referring to in his comments from UC Health Training Center today. ESPN’s Pedro Gomez, our Fan Rockies Insider, joined the program to discuss where the Rockies are at as they continue their impressive home series and break down the latest on the Kyle Freeland situation.
In the second hour, DMac and Tom discuss Peyton Manning’s presence at OTAs earlier this week. DMac says nothing Peyton does is accidental and tries to speculate why he might be hanging around practice? Could he be scoping out a potential front office role in the future? Tom says we should all just lower the bar for the Broncos so that the “Brandon Stokleys of the world” can be satisfied. The guys speculate what is next for Kyle Freeland and DMac makes a case for MLB parks to extend their netting after the unfortunate incident involving the young girl who was struck by a foul ball. In the third hour, DMac and Tom recap last night’s historic National Spelling Bee finish. Tom says the 8-way tie killed the competitive nature of the event and lists changes he would make in order to make the competition more intense. Tom applauds Chris Harris for setting lofty standards for the Broncos’ defense. The guys react to Patrick Saunders’ response to Jeff Bridich’s comments about beat writers.
