In the first hour, D-Mac and Tom react to the wild weekend in Denver Sports. The guys predict what is to come for the red-hot Avalanche, who just extinguished the Calgary Flames, the best team in the Western Conference. Have the Rockies finally solved their hitting inconsistency? The guys debate what the Broncos’ draft room should look like. D-Mac says Peter King’s latest mock draft may be the ideal strategy for the Broncos this week. Tom explains why it is in the Broncos’ best interest to move up or back from the 10th pick.
In the second hour, D-Mac and Tom highlight NC State center Garrett Bradbury, who has been graded as one of the top center prospects in this year’s draft. Given his size and unusual athleticism, could Bradbury provide stability to an offensive line unit which experienced so many shifts last year? D-Mac says the idea of the Broncos finding a way to draft Garrett Bradbury and Dalton Risner this year would be the best thing they could do for Joe Flacco. The guys take calls from listeners who played or coached against Dalton Risner in high school and his high school. Risner’s teacher and high school coach in Wiggins chimes in to explain what it was like to help mold him into the rising star he is today. The guys break down Peter King’s latest mock draft, which features the Broncos trading back up into the first round to select a quarterback.
