After the Denver Broncos did not tender him as a restricted free agent last week, Kevin Hogan will be back as the club’s backup quarterback in 2019 on a one-year deal.
The Broncos announced they’d re-signed Hogan to a one-year contract on Thursday just more than seven months after the team claimed him off waivers from the Washington Redskins ahead of this past season.
A fourth-year player out of Stanford, Hogan has played in eight games, starting one, during his NFL career between the Broncos and the Cleveland Browns (2016-’17).
A fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2016 NFL Draft, Hogan has completed 60 career passes on 101 attempts for 621 yards and four touchdowns to go along with seven interceptions. He’s also rushed for 176 yards and one touchdown.
