Zach Bye sat in with D-Mac today!
In the first hour, D-Mac and Zach grade the Broncos’ free agency moves at this point in the off-season. Will their draft strategy change now that they have brought in players at positions of need? D-Mac questions which teams will be in the market for a quarterback this year and who will be going all in for Tua Tagovailoa, Jake Fromm and others next year. The guys reveal who they believe the Broncos cannot pass up with the 10th overall pick this year.
In the second hour, D-Mac and Zach discuss whether or not the Broncos’ recent defensive acquisitions will make their secondary one of the league’s best once again. How has free agency played out for the other three teams in the AFC West? Have the Broncos kept pace with their division rivals this off-season? Zach asks D-Mac how he would feel if the Broncos elected to pursue potential free agents like Tyreek Hill, who are incredibly talented but also come with baggage and character flaws. D-Mac argues that it wouldn’t be the first time the current Broncos front office has done just that.
In the third hour, D-Mac and Zach dive into the March Madness field, with the play-in games less than 24 hours away. Zach breaks down the current state of the Denver Nuggets, who are still just one game behind the Warriors and have a legitimate shot at the number one seed in the West. The guys react to the announcement that Vontaze Burfict has been released by the Bengals. Will the Broncos still target a linebacker in the first round this year? Will the Broncos still target a linebacker in the first round this year? D-Mac questions whether or not Johnny Manziel signing with the AAF will help keep people interested. The guys close out the hour discussing the breaking news from Adam Schefter reporting that Blake Bortles has signed with the Los Angeles Rams and Zach breaks down the recent meeting between Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree.
