The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!!
The guys talk about Trevor Lawrence in a recent intramural game, and if there is any support for LeVeon Bell after his tweet quoting MLK. Big Al asks DMac what their chances would be in a pickup game of basketball against Stokley & Zach, and it looks like O.J. Simpson has been spotted in Denver.
The guys talk about Duke vs UNC, and Zion Williamson’s growth problem. DMac asks Big Al why Emmanuel Sanders responded to 104.3 The Fan’s tweet about a contract restructure, and what’s next for CJ Anderson if the Rams don’t bring him back. Also, what Big Al would do with Nolan Arenado in Colorado as his contract situation looms.
Al & DMac decide if the release of Brandon Marshall & the trade of Demaryius Thomas had anything to do with their decision to take a knee during the National Anthem.
DMac & Al talk about the commissioner of the NFL standing up to the President, and what Big Al would think of Adam Silver as commissioner of the NFL. Al tells DMac Goodell has been one of the most hated commissioners ever, and Silver would be an upgrade. The guys take a look at the value of NBA teams compared to NFL franchises.
Al & DMac remember Big Al’s days at CU Boulder, and the National Championship the Buffs won in 1990.
DMac reviews the Manny Machado deal in San Diego, and says Nolan Arenado can be re-signed in Colorado & he’s home-grown. Also, what’s next for Bryce Harper, including a move to San Francisco to play for the Giants, and if Todd Helton is the greatest Rockies player in history.
DMac is disgusted that Ed McCaffrey is not in the Broncos Ring of Fame, and wonders if it’s a coincidence that ticket prices went up right before the Joe Flacco trade was announced. Also, DMac predicts that the Rockies can win the World Series this year, but they will need Nolan Arenado.
The guys review DMac’s questions to Roger Goodell at the Super Bowl, including one about being randomly drug tested by the NFL. Also, DMac wonders if Roger Goodell would be okay with his son playing football, considering the safety requirements.
