The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! CU Buffs Head Coach Mel Tucker joins the show to talk about the Buffs recruiting class for 2019 after National Signing Day. Rockies Beat Writer for the Denver Post Patrick Saunders joins the show to talk about Mark Reynolds having a shot at making the team, and if it’s time for Brendan Rodgers to make his Rockies debut.

DMac makes fun of Mike Evans for circling in, and Big Al mentions that Mark Schlereth is okay with starting Case Keenum to begin the season. Al says the Broncos already know what they have in Keenum, and things are setting up nicely for 2020. Also, DMac & Al scratch the surface on the Kevin Durant drama, and Big Al says nobody knows enough about the situation to form an opinion.

In the Big 3, DMac is excited for the Nuggets, and Big Al talks about Charles Woodson moving on from ESPN. Also, Kevin Durant’s rant last night & what Kyler Murray’s 40-yard dash time will be. Todd McShay releases a mock draft that has the Broncos selecting Deandre Baker, and Al & DMac agree with the ‘meat & potatoes’ pick. Finally, the Pelicans deal with the Lakers for Anthony Davis looks dead.

CU Buffs Head Coach Mel Tucker joins the show to talk about the Buffs recruiting class for 2019 after National Signing Day. Coach Tucker says once the athletes met the staff & saw what it was all about, they were more interested to sign up. Coach Tucker says he’s not a afraid to play Freshman, and the best players will play. Listen to the interview HERE!!!

The guys talk about the Deion Sanders 30 for 30, and DMac compares Sanders’ story to Kyler Murray’s. DMac wants to see Murray play both baseball & football, and Big Al says you can’t play anything else if you’re an NFL QB. Al says if Murray is forced to change positions, he should stick with baseball. DMac talks about Pat Mahomes playing basketball & having fun when he shouldn’t, and Big Al is amazed with Mahomes’ moves.

Rockies Beat Writer for the Denver Post Patrick Saunders joins the show to talk about Mark Reynolds having a shot at making the team, and if it’s time for Brendan Rodgers to make his Rockies debut. Big Al asks why free agency in MLB is taking so long this year, and Patrick talks about the shift in the free agent market & a possible lockout looming. Listen to the interview HERE!!!

DMac plays back audio of Kevin Durant’s presser last night, and if free agency noise is necessary. Durant is upset with the media for twisting his words around, and has been shutting down requests to talk to him & the Knicks. Al says it sounds personal with KD & those reporters.

Big Al goes in on Sean Mannion, and how NFL careers start. Al explains why going with Sean Mannion over Case Keenum is the right decision, and why Drew Lock should be an option with the tenth overall pick in the NFL Draft. Also, the NBA All-Star rosters are picked by LeBron & Giannis, and we find out which team Nikola Jokic will be playing with.

Al & DMac take a look at quarterbacks in the later rounds, and DMac says the year for quarterbacks is 2020. DMac says Elway won’t wait on a quarterback, and that’s why Drew Lock is in play. Also, Big Al says Nick Foles changes everything this offseason.
