The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Fan Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show LIVE from Alabama to talk about the Senior Bowl, and his thoughts on a surging Will Grier. Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Broncos coaching press conference.
Al & DMac react to the coaches presser at Dove Valley today, and DMac drills down whether or not the Broncos will be drafting a quarterback. DMac exposes Vic Fangio & Rich Scangarello for being first-year coaches, and even though it’s a veteran group, DMac & Al agree it will take some time. DMac says John Elway is still John Elway, and Big Al asks if it’s about death by inches or about winning.
In the Big 3, DMac says the kid in the Patriots costume that Jamal Adams tackled ended up in the hospital, and Al mentions Cam Newton’s shoulder injury & if the Panthers should shut Newton down for an entire year to keep him fresh.
Fan Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show LIVE from Alabama to talk about the Senior Bowl, and his thoughts on a surging Will Grier. Cecil talks about what kind of fit Ed Oliver would be in Denver, and says it’s interesting that Vic Fangio is not present at the Senior Bowl. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
The guys talk about the Rich Scangarello rags to riches story, and why he could care less if Denver provides him a superstar QB1 or not.
Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Broncos press conference, and to tell Alfred that Elway is driving the bus, but it takes a collaborative effort. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
DMac says he liked the Nuggets effort in Utah last night, and it was simply a night for the Jazz. Big Al didn’t like Jokic & Plumlee getting in fights, and the guys wonder if Jokic will be facing a suspension for leaving the bench area. Also, the Avs are thankful for the All-Star break after dropping another to the Wild.
DMac plays some audio from Scangarello’s presser, and wonders about the vagabond life a coordinator lives. Big Al says the Rams coaches can buy a house, and DMac says anyone that meets Sean McVay gets a new job.
The guys talk about the NBA All-Star vote, and DMac says Nikola Jokic has the respect of the media & the players, but not the fans. Jokic comes up short as an All-Star starter, but Al & DMac agree he will make the All-Star reserves. Also, the guys debate who won the 2018 NFL Draft.
Al & Dmac take some calls on what to do with the NFL referees & how to help officiate pass interference calls. Big Al says Vic Fangio was brought in to get Von Miller & Bradley Chubb to play at an even higher level.
