The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Cecil Lammey joins the show LIVE from Mobile, AL for the Senior Bowl to talk about where the Broncos will be looking when the NFL Draft rolls around.
DMac & Big Al talk about the weather, Klay Thompson’s skill & if DMac would have his kid practicing 3-pointers. Big Al says Andy Reid is the best regular season coach, and DMac wonders what’s so great about the Competition committee being old. Also, Madden simulations get the Saints no call right every time.
In the Big 3, DMac says Cole Beasley should keep his mouth shut if he wants to keep his job in Dallas, and asks Al why the coaches aren’t at the Senior Bowl. Also, the greatest players in their golden years, and what can be fixed by the NFL to help with non-calls.
The guys think of some rules changes the NFL could make, such as challenges and booth review. Al & DMac agree they would rather get it right, and DMac talks about why the rules would change in the final two minutes.
The guys talk about progressive moves, and DMac wonders why anyone wouldn’t want to use the technology at their disposal now that time has passed & things are different. Big Al points out that coaches are stubborn & rules don’t often change. DMac says it’s stunning that officials who were 10 feet away couldn’t make the call in the Saints game, and there are now lawsuits going on about it.
Cecil Lammey joins the show LIVE from Mobile, AL for the Senior Bowl to talk about where the Broncos will be looking when the NFL Draft rolls around. DMac asks Cecil if Drew Lock looks better than Daniel Jones, and Cecil says Lock looks the best, but still no better than Baker Mayfield looked. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
The guys talk about Drew Lock and if Elway should keep his eye on a new QB out of Buffalo. DMac asks Al if he’s surprised Elway won’t give Russell the title of GM, and Al says maybe it’s time for Elway to sit back & let Russell do it. DMac thinks it’s weird the Broncos coaching staff is not at the Senior Bowl to help Elway scout.
The guys talk about social people at the station, and what to expect from the staff at the Super Bowl. DMac wonders about Aqib Talib the quote machine & how CJ Anderson will be treated on Media Row. Also, DMac wants to know why our offensive coordinator wouldn’t want to be there in Alabama to see Drew Lock, or anyone else.
Al & DMac talk about the Senior Bowl being moved inside, and if Drew Lock can be as good as Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen. DMac says if Elway wants to win now, he will wait on drafting a QB, and Big Al wants the Broncos to do the right thing now. DMac says he wants the Broncos to go after Nick Foles.
Al & DMac take some calls on if going with Case Keenum is even an option, and Nick Foles as the hot name heading into the offseason for two years in a row. Big Al cares about what happens three years from now, and DMac says Elway does not.
