The Drive with Big Al & Troy Renck LIVE IN STUDIO!!!

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

Big Al is shocked, and says it looks like John Elway has fired Gary Kubiak twice. Troy tells Al maybe this isn’t a bad thing if the offense changes for the better. Al says it comes down to three components, the QB, the playcaller and the head coach. Also, Gary Kubiak is a better man than he is a coach, and the Broncos wouldn’t budge when Kubiak wanted his old coaches back, like Rick Dennison.

In the Big 3, Troy & Big Al are looking forward to Mike Munchak as the O-Line coach & wonder what’s next for VJ, possibly in Arizona. Also, Troy asks Big Al if the Nuggets are for real after watching Nikola Jokic throw a pass to Jamal Murray that looked better than some of Case Keenum’s.

The guys talk about old school coaches adopting new-school concepts & philosophies. Big Al points out how we won Super Bowl 50, and things we’re seeing now from offenses in the NFL.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

The Broncos have requested to interview 49ers QB Coach Rich Scangarello for their OC position, and Troy points out Scangarello’s experience & Drew Lock and Kyler Murray now coming into play. The guys take some calls on what Kyler Murray can bring to the offense compared to Keenum.

Big Al talks about giving Paxton Lynch a chance to grow, and why we are done with Rick Dennison in Denver. Reaction pours in about Gary Kubiak not returning as a coach for the Broncos, and who’s responsible for Paxton’s downfall. Al says it was a bad setup for Vance Joseph here in Denver.

Big Al mentions the importance of the information & knowledge you receive as a rookie, and why Paxton Lynch didn’t get it.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

Big Al talks about the LA Rams losing their coaches and reuniting the LaFleur brothers. Al wonders if we have to go to the college game to find our next offensive coordinator. Troy talks about avoiding the ‘fish on a bicycle’ story.

Troy says the offensive line showed some progress, and Big Al imagines landing Kyler Murray & Darrell Bevell. Troy says it’s important to bring in a coach that fits the philosophy, and all along he never wanted Gary Kubiak calling plays.
