The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about Lamar Jackson and Joe Flacco, as well as Vic Fangio & John Elway discussing things more back in Denver possibly. Jake Plummer joins the show to talk about getting a box in the mail around the holidays with a football telling him about his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
The guys talk about the games over the weekend, and Vic Fangio as a possible head coach in Denver. DMac says he loves Lamar Jackson, but it felt like John Harbaugh wasn’t being allowed to play Joe Flacco this weekend in an attempt to come back against the Chargers.

In the Big 3, DMac & Al talk about the National Championship game and NFL Wild Card Weekend. Al says the game looked too fast for Deshaun Watson, and the guys discuss Kliff Kingsbury as an NFL head coach with the Cardinals or the NY Jets.
Al & DMac talk about the College Football Hall of Fame inductees, including the Goodyear Blimp & Patrick Willis. Also, Don Yee, Ed McCaffrey and the Pacific Pro Football League.
Jake Plummer joins the show to talk about getting a box in the mail around the holidays with a football telling him about his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. DMac says Vic Fangio & Mike Munchak are the frontrunners for Broncos Head Coach, and Vic Fangio is at an advantage with his John Elway breakfast special.
Troy Renck joins the show to say both Mike Munchak & Vic Fangio have made strong impressions, and it helps Vic Fangio that the Bears were knocked out of playoff contention, freeing up more time to continue Elway’s interview process. Al asks Troy why the interview process has changed & why the Broncos are being more private about their search this year. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
The guys laugh about Fergie’s National Anthem compared to DMac’s son, and Big Al can’t get enough of the ‘Rocket’s Red Glare’ and Carl Lewis. Al says he doesn’t like when a coach can be ‘blocked’ like Kubiak was & when a coach can’t pick his own staff.
Big Al says Kliff Kingsbury is the extreme dark horse he wanted in Denver, and someone like Kingsbury can pick our quarterback. Al makes DMac choose between Jacksonville & Denver as a landing spot for Joe Flacco, and says this coaching search reminds him of an older version of Vance Joseph.
Big Al talks about Nick Foles as the QB1 in Denver, and what he has to do during this playoff run to boot Carson Wentz from the No. 1 spot. Also, Big Al says the successful teams like the Chargers have done what Denver wouldn’t do, like paying Russell Okung.
