The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! The guys compare DMac’s strategy to ‘Autodraft’ and DMac wonders why Von Miller or Chris Harris Jr. would want to go through a rebuilding process.
Big Al says he feels a lot better today after talking to VJ & hearing how thankful VJ was to the Broncos organization for giving him a chance. DMac brings up the latest with Adam Gase, and says VJ could easily wind up as Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. Also, we hear from Chris Harris Jr. about how the Broncos need to evolve.
In the Big 3, the guys talk about Antonio Brown being unhappy in Pittsburgh & the 49ers openly recruiting Brown to San Francisco. Also, DMac mentions how impressed he is with Daniel Jones & why he’s down on Kyler Murray’s Bowl Game performance, and Big Al mentions Lincoln Riley’s extension at Oklahoma.
The guys talk about the Bowlen trust & John Elway’s role in football operations. DMac keeps his eye on the Arizona Cardinals & wonders if they will move out of their draft position in the Top 5. DMac wants to trade Von Miller for the 3rd overall pick in the draft, and says John Elway’s time frame to get things turned around is small.
In Football @ 4, the guys compare DMac’s strategy to ‘Autodraft’ and DMac wonders why Von Miller or Chris Harris Jr. would want to go through a rebuilding process. Al & DMac discuss bridge quarterbacks like Joe Flacco, and why Case Keenum’s deal was no good. DMac makes his case for why the Broncos should have drafted a QB last year with Keenum as the bridge.
DMac knows it’s hard to think about trading Von, and Al points to the extra attention Von draws. The boys agree this rebuild is going to be ugly, and start naming landing spots for some of our best veteran players.
DMac takes some calls on the Broncos QB situation, and Big Al laughs at Kawhi Leonard’s laugh. Also, Bill Bowlen’s lawsuit & the trust put in place by Pat.
Big Al talks about his conversation with Vance Joseph, and tells DMac he has a soft spot for great coaches. Al & DMac mention Mike MacIntyre’s new job, and Al explains why bad coaches make him so angry. Also, why Chris Harris Jr. is able to see the writing on the wall in Denver, and why DMac thinks we’d be in no better position with Kirk Cousins as the QB.
Big Al talks about Mike Munchak, and DMac says the next head coach in Denver must get along with Gary Kubiak. Big Al says the head coaching job in Denver is not a good job right now. Also, the latest with New England defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
Big Al says Ed Oliver is the next Aaron Donald, and DMac says there’s always a Myles Garrett in the draft to replace Von.
