The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about Broncos Head Coach candidates now that Vance Joseph is gone. Troy Renck joins the show to say the Broncos are using a flip phone in an iPhone world, and says the Broncos are years behind in staying competitive & innovative.
Al tells DMac he’s upset Paxton Lynch didn’t get the chance to grow & develop, and the Broncos’ next head coach will have the same problems at QB that VJ had. Also, Al says this Broncos organization has no soul.
Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about Broncos Head Coach candidates now that Vance Joseph is gone. Adam says John Elway wants a certain guy, and doesn’t want to make any decisions before he meets a candidate. Schefter expects Elway to remain open-minded during the search, and reminds DMac & Al about Josh McDaniels pulling out as Indianapolis Colts Head Coach. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
In the Big 3, Big Al & DMac discuss any more potential Pro-Bowlers that may arise following Phillip Lindsay & Von Miller’s lead. Al asks DMac about the Broncos core, and about possibly moving on from Chris Harris Jr.
DMac & Al talk about John Elway looking at the man in the mirror, and DMac says the Broncos don’t have time to wait on finding a QB. DMac is not impressed with Drew Lock compared to Duke QB Daniel Jones or Ravens QB Joe Flacco. Also, the thought of Dwayne Haskins as our QB1 and Chuck Pagano as our Head Coach with Kubiak as OC.
In Football @ 4, DMac asks Al why VJ was fired, and Al explains VJ wasn’t an expert on both sides of the ball. The guys discuss Gary Kubiak staying here in Denver or going to coach in Atlanta. Al notices that nobody is talking about defensive coordinators at the collegiate level, and DMac wants to bring in Peyton Manning for his independent opinion. Also, the Broncos request an interview with Rams QB coach Zac Taylor according to sources.
The guys talk about the excellent combination of Shurmur & Case Keenum, and the importance of chemistry between your QB1 & your head coach.

Big Al talks about the Broncos players that have not come through for VJ, and wants to talk to the fans about the decisions being made up top for the Broncos. Also, John Elway says it’s time to start looking at the man in the mirror, and Al says he’d be having the time of his life as Broncos head coach.
DMac says the Broncos will fall in love with Daniel Jones, and Al says Drew Lock is the guy. The guys take a look at what other NFL franchises are looking at adding a QB in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Al & DMac preview the Avs game tonight against the LA Kings, and DMac breaks the news to Big Al that Swaggy P has been let go by the Nuggets.
