The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Thomas Harding joins the show to talk about some free agent signings & trade ideas the Rockies might be looking at in the offseason, including Marwin Gonzalez & Ben Zobrist.
Big Al makes a huge kick under pressure, and the guys laugh about the moment that will haunt Brandon Stokley for a long time in The Fan Kicks Childhood Cancer Challenge. The guys talk about Brandon McManus, and DMac says kickers don’t impress him until the kicks get beyond 35 yards. Big Al tells DMac he looks for the guys that check the box & high school & college when he’s looking for athletes to be big-time pros.
In the Big 3, Big Al says the Denver Nuggets are becoming the ‘bad boys’ of the NBA, and the guys debate if there is some drama with DT & the Broncos’ captains. Big Al explains what a player’s mentality should be when trade rumors are swirling.

DMac says DT’s recent interview is compelling, and Big Al talks about when he noticed DT was becoming a different player from the one that broke away from Ike Taylor in the playoffs in 2011. DMac says DT doesn’t understand the business of football, and Al reminds DT that even the great Joe Montana got traded.
DMac says Sanders & DT were in competition all along, and Big Al says Emmanuel was always the better receiver. Big Al tells a story about having competition at your own position, and DMac says Sanders is smart.
The guys talk about DT being blind to what’s going on, and DMac says John Elway made a mistake with the DT trade because he thinks the Broncos are competitive & not in rebuild mode. Also, DMac tells Al he could have been a pro athlete in any sport, and Elway should have traded Sanders instead of DT.
Al & DMac talk about a reboot in Denver with an auto-draft mentality, and DMac explains why moving up for Paxton was a terrible move. DMac tells Al the fans need to know why Elway is making critical decisions, and Al is afraid of changing out all the coaches & coordinators again. The guys talk about getting out & voting, and Big Al says nothing is complete without lasers. It’s Big Al’s birthday, and he tells DMac he wishes a long life to everyone that’s stuck with him so far. Also, DMac tells a funny story about his uncle & his dad avoiding a stroke.
