Stokley worried over Broncos defensive injuries heading into Sunday

Three defensive starters — Brandon Marshall, Darian Stewart, and Bradley Roby — will be out with injuries this weekend for the Denver Broncos as they welcome in the Houston Texans.

And with what constitutes more than a quarter of the Broncos starting defensive lineup sidelined, “Stokley and Zach” co-host Brandon Stokley’s optimism for Sunday has turned into concern.

“Defensively, are you going to be able to make adjustments? And the others guys that are going to step up, are they going to play at a high level or are they not?” Stokley said.

Between De’Andre Hopkins, Lamar Miller, and Deshaun Watson, Stokley said the Texans have a lot of firepower in which to use against the Broncos defense when it’s healthy, let along when it’s not.

“You’re talking about an offense that does a lot to try to confuse you,” Stokley said. “There are a lot of responsibilities when it comes to their running game and their passing game with the weapons that they have.”

What’s more, linebacker Von Miller, who had been limited all but Friday’s practice this week with a knee injury, was seen wearing a brace during practice.

“I’ve never seen him wear one before, honestly. So, to me, he’s a gamer. He’s going to play Sunday. But he was limited all week with this knee,” NFL Network reporter James Palmer told “Stokley and Zach.”

“To me, it’s a little bit of a concern when you go out there and you throw the brace on.”
