The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! ESPN’s Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about the Broncos drafting Bradley Chubb instead of a QB in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to try and calm Big Al & DMac down, telling them that the players care just as much as the Broncos’ coaches care but it’s still not connecting.
DMac opens the show by saying our thoughts are with Bill Musgrave as he deals with family matters, and says a final goodbye to the Rockies after a sad day on Sunday when the Rockies could not hit. Al says the Broncos got out-coached and there is a problem with the run defense.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about the Broncos drafting Bradley Chubb instead of a QB in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Big Al is searching for a corner, and Adam tells him it’s hard finding a pass rush, and a secondary, and the Broncos took care of their pass rush. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
In the Big 3, the guys talk about the Rockies losing at Coors Field, and Conor McGregor’s loss at T-Mobile Arena in UFC 229.
Big Al is still shocked about Marquette King being placed on IR with the designation to be released, and DMac says he gets the PacMan Jones signing, but the addition of Tramaine Brock left him scratching his head.
Big Al tells DMac we are not going to fire Joe Woods, and Vance Joseph should call the defense. Al is sick of the Broncos flipping Von Miller from the left side of the line to the right.
Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to try and calm Big Al & DMac down, telling them that the players care just as much as the Broncos’ coaches care but it’s still not connecting. Big Al asks Troy about this version of Case Keenum, and Troy says the Broncos need more out of their QB. Listen to the interview HERE!!
DMac says there are so many issues with the Broncos, and it’s clear Denver has a broken model right now. DMac says we should have done what the NY Jets did with their QBs, and it’s time for Joe Ellis to fire himself & Denver never should have let Wade Phillips go.
DMac & Al agree the one thing John Elway does well is sign free-agents, but he missed on his free-agent class this year. Al asks Dmac if he believes in good energy, and says the helmet rule was a problem on Sunday & we must get rid of Garett Bolles.
Al says Denver has the best RB room in the business, and DMac says we needed to draft a QB. DMac wants Denver to let Keenum do what he does best, as well as get Chad Kelly ready for the Cardinals game. Also, Oberg’s balk & wild pitch disaster, and Von Miller’s disappearance.
DMac notes that he ‘got the business’ wearing his ASU gear at Folsom Field against the CU Buffs, and tells Big Al Montez is winning him over. Also, DMac says it’s okay for VJ to admit his mistakes.
To wrap things up, DMac is sick about Stokley & Zach winning the King Soopers Fan Pick ‘Em again, and Big Al is loving Orlando Franklin’s takes lately.
