After the Rockies big win over the Cubs, Dmac tells Al it’s just not the Cubs’ time. Big Al says Jessica Mendoza taught him so much about baseball last night, and he can’t remember having that much fun watching a baseball game. DMac says Kyle Freeland ‘wants that ball’ and the arrogant Cubs choked.
In the Big 3, DMac asks Al about Nick Saban’s contract & what he will remember the most about the Rockies game last night. Al says this is the ultimate sports month with all our Colorado teams playing, and DMac brings up the Rockies’ pitching rotation.
DMac talks about the problem with Terrance Gore, and says the Charlie Blackmon switch had defensive purpose. Also, DMac asks Big Al if there’s something wrong with David Dahl right now.
We hear from VJ on the Broncos’ injuries, including Marquette King’s mysterious one. Big Al points out Adam Gotsis’ facemask penalty, and DMac tells Al what he sees in Darnold. Also, why the Broncos should ‘smoke’ Jeremy Bates & the JETS old-school offense.
DMac has the stats, and says the JETS offense is very mediocre & the Broncos don’t get turnovers like the Jets do. Big Al points out Sam Darnold has a better QBR than Case Keenum, and the reason he’s concerned about New York’s rugged rushers.
Big Al nearly guarantees a win against the JETS, calling them a terrible team & the easiest win on the Broncos’ schedule. Al tells DMac there’s nobody on New York’s defense that he’s concerned about when matching up against Emmanuel Sanders.
Big Al & DMac take calls on Oberg’s last pitch & where everyone was when the Rockies got their final out.
Al says the Chicago Cubs had too much false bravado last night, and DMac loves the sweet taste of victory over Chicago. DMac thinks Nolan Arenado will go to the highest bidder when he hits free-agency.
DMac mentions the perception of the Rockies nationally, and Big Sexy plays back audio of DMac giving Milwaukee Radio the business about Cubs fans.
Orlando Franklin joins the show to tell a story about doing what they’ve always done in Super Bowl 48, and the controversy surrounding the Broncos’ week of preparation.
