The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Cecil Lammey joins the show to say it won’t be enough to simply run the ball against the Chiefs, and the playbook was gone with Phillip Lindsay out of the game. Thomas Harding joins the show to talk about tiebreaker situations for the Rockies, and points out the Cubs are fading & possibilities are endless.
DMac talks about the Coors Field magic going on right now, and tells Al he could have never imagined winning the division this year. The guys take a look at the matchup tonight, and DMac is happy with the guys at the top of the lineup. Also, Big Al loves the ‘Charlie Blackmon kid’ and tells DMac nobody is unbeatable when they’re coming into Mile High.
In the Big 3, Al & DMac discuss wet conditions for Case Keenum, and if the weather will become a problem in the future.
We hear from Vance Joseph after Broncos practice today, and Big Al points out Brandon McManus’ accuracy through the first three games of the season. Also, Al tries to explain to DMac why he doesn’t like the matchup with Andy Reid.
DMac says this matchup the Broncos have coming up against the Chiefs is a ‘prove it’ sort of game, and can’t believe Denver didn’t move on from Joe Woods in the offseason. DMac points out even VJ has acknowledged the problems Denver is facing on defense, and Big Al just thinks it was a bad matchup against a solid Ravens team on a rainy day Sunday.

Cecil is wondering where all the Keenum jump balls went, and says Keenum must finish drives on Monday night. Thomas Harding joins the show to talk about tiebreaker situations for the Rockies, and points out the Cubs are fading & possibilities are endless. Thomas says the Rockies are expecting to take care of business against the Phillies, and Colorado’s hitting & power have shown up at the right time. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
DMac says the Rockies are shooting for the playoffs, and Big Al tells DMac why October baseball is so special. DMac says Pat Mahomes is not intimidated by Mile High, and Big Al is looking for back-shoulder fades to Sutton & DT.
DMac laughs about Madison Bumgarner starting against the Dodgers, and looks forward to the Giants & Dodgers series. DMac tells Al the schedule sets up well for the Rockies, and it’s starting to feel like Christmas in September. Al says there is something special about Isaac Yiadom, and there is nobody in the NFL like Tyreek Hill. Al thinks the playcalling is the reason for all of Mahomes’ success.
DMac & Al take calls on the Broncos defense, and if Denver is good enough to keep Mahomes under wraps. DMac says if Denver keeps KC under 20 points, the Broncos will kill the Chiefs.
Al & DMac preview the Rockies’ remaining games, and DMac takes calls on what the fans think will happen in the Broncos game on Monday.
