The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO! We hear from John Elway about why Colin Kaepernick isn’t being given a chance as a backup in Denver, and Elway says Kaep already had his chance. DMac wants to know the difference in the Kaep decision & the Brock Osweiler decision, and what other free agent QBs have started in a Super Bowl.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

Also, if the Kaepernick decision was in the team’s best interest or Elway’s best interest, and why Case Keenum is already becoming worried about his second year in Denver. We hear from Vance Joseph after a rather scripted practice at Dove Valley against the Bears, and Big Al says we are already getting reaction to Elway saying he gave Kaepernick a chance. Also, Big Al hits dingers in the Little League World Series, and Dez Bryant has the chance to save the Cleveland Browns from being losers. DMac says you can’t always believe what people tell you about themselves, even when it comes to John Elway, and the guys take calls on the real reason why Elway won’t sign Colin Kaepernick in Denver.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

Big Al didn’t like the tempo of practice against the Bears, but he did like the fact that Denver got a good look at a mobile quarterback in Mitch Trubisky & Head Coach Matt Nagy’s RPO system. Big Al says the Broncos got some great work in against a very similar offense to the one in Kansas City that boasts TE Travis Kelce. DMac searches for a backup QB that started in a Super Bowl, and takes an apologetic call for hating on him about the Bradley Chubb pick instead of a QB in Denver. Also, Big Al notices that Miss Colorado was out at practice today, and wants to know how he can become Mister Colorado. Al says this practice against the Bears is exactly what we needed, and DMac says if this week is any indication, we are set to light up the scoreboard on Saturday in the game against the Bears. Al says it’s finally time for Emmanuel Sanders to explode & become a No. 1 WR, pushing Demaryius Thomas into a No. 2 WR role. From Elvis to Aretha, DMac & Al remember the greats. Big Al says he’s not worried about the Broncos offensive line because of our new quarterback in town. Also, DMac wonders what in the world happened with Cyrus Kouandjio’s pants.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

The boys dive into John Elway’s comments today about why he didn’t want to sign Colin Kaepernick the second time around, and the research that went into Linebacker A.J. Johnson’s history before signing him. Big Al says A.J. Johnson’s situation is similar to La’el Collins’ in Dallas with the Cowboys, and Elway’s excuse for not signing Kaep isn’t good enough for DMac. Elijah Wilkinson’s father calls in to defend his son, and wants to know why Eli is not in the mix at Right Tackle for the Broncos. DMac explains Wilkinson’s situation, and why he hasn’t cracked the lineup yet. The guys talk about the Rockies taking on the Braves, and the dirty pitch thrown by Marlins pitcher Jose Urena at Ronald Acuna Jr. last night. Big Al warns broadcasters not to say dumb things.
