The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO! Peyton Manning visits the Raiders, and DMac asks Big Al why Peyton would do something like that. The boys put together their 53-man rosters, and Al is making some major cuts, including Chad Kelly & Devontae Booker.
DMac & Al talk about the Rockies tragic walk off loss at the hands of the St Louis Cardinals, and DMac asks Al if he’s sick of Jake McGee. DMac previews what to expect from Training Camp 2018 to round out the week, and gives Big Al his best Bill Belichick & Jessie James Decker impressions. In the Big 3, DMac asks Al where the Urban Meyer case is going, and Al says ultimately Meyer will survive the allegations & football will win. Al asks DMac if he will go to see Champ Bailey or Pat Bowlen be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and if T.O. is taking too much attention from the other inductees. Also, the guys are excited to see NFL football tonight as the Bears are set to take on the Ravens. Peyton Manning visits the Raiders, and DMac asks Big Al why Peyton would do something like that. Al mentions Peyton might be checking out wine country, and DMac kicks around the idea of money & ownership motivations.
The boys put together their 53-man rosters, and Al is making some major cuts, including Chad Kelly & Devontae Booker. DMac tries his best to convince Al to keep Broncos TE Matt LaCosse on the roster. DMac keeps a couple of undrafted rookies on his 53-man roster in Jeff Holland and Phillip Lindsay, and apologizes to Keishawn Bierria before cutting him. Big Al gives DMac some of his favorites for the Broncos to add to their roster so they can get a few more wins in 2018, including Brent Celek, Alfred Morris & Matt Moore. A caller declares that Brandon Marshall should be cut from the team. Big Al talks about Philly Brown, and why he would be watching more film than anyone during the offseason on his new iPad. The guys discuss avoiding silly injuries, and what else can be worked on when you’re not playing.
DMac doesn’t understand why the Broncos won’t invest in virtual-reality training, and Big Al loves Michael Porter Jr.’s challenges in NBA2K. DMac is disappointed about the St Louis Cardinals walking off against the Rockies, and Al talks about the players jogging off the field. Also, the guys preview Christian McCaffrey’s E:60 documentary coming up on Sunday, and talk Peyton Manning’s Raiders visit. Al & DMac discuss Peyton visiting Raiders camp, and if Manning reached out to Jon Gruden, or if it was the other way around. DMac says Peyton was doing his due-diligence, and Al says the visit was just for fun. Also, the guys get excited about the Broncos upcoming schedule. DMac says he would rather listen to Mark Schlereth call a game than Tony Romo, and Al talks about what he’s expecting from the Broncos at Training Camp 2018 tomorrow.
