The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE IN STUDIO! DMac tackles Aqib Talib’s comments about the Broncos firing all the ‘dawgs’ and points out all the nasty & talented players still on Denver’s roster. DMac says Talib is just mad about losing TJ Ward, and real Broncos fans can no longer side with Talib.
Chad & DMac talk about the Rockies hot streak and if they can heat up even more, similar to how the Red Sox are playing right now. DMac wonders if it’s bad timing to have the All-Star break when the Rockies were just getting going, and the guys laugh about the fan running onto the field just to be tackled by another fan in the stands at Coors Field. Also, DMac gauges the trade value of Carlos Gonzalez & Gerardo Parra. The boys laugh about Heather Cox getting Case Keenum’s name wrong just like John Elway did, and Chad wants to know just how hard it’s going to be for the Colorado Rockies to get into the playoffs. Also, Chad is impressed with the good soccer that we saw in the World Cup over the weekend. Troy Renck joins the show to talk about Keith Olbermann’s idea of changing the All-Star Game to multiple 3-inning games, and Troy notes that he likes the changes they have made to the Home-Run Derby. Troy says things would be different if they put some money on the line & players played harder, but teams wouldn’t like it. Also, Troy puts Tapia & Shaw on the Rockies’ trade block, and pleads for them to go get a 7th-inning reliever. Listen to the interview HERE!

The guys talk about dumb rules in baseball, and the importance of speed in the game. Callers question DMac on his knowledge of the Big Bopper, and DMac yells about general tennis topics. The boys discuss the Home-Run Derby and if it still draws audiences in. DMac wonders if they could take the Home Run Derby on the road, and is upset about Bonds & McGwire cheating to achieve their records.
