DMac leads off with saying the Broncos need a new captain, and Aqib Talib was toxic. DMac throws NFL Network analyst Michael Silver under the bus, and Chad laughs about DMac’s question to Talib about shooting himself. DMac warns media members with ‘skins’ on the wall not to get too close with the athletes, and the guys remember the boat incident & the end of the John Fox era in Denver. In the Big 3, Chad decides if the Rockies are killing their momentum by giving Jon Gray the start tomorrow at Coors Field, and the guys remember the NFL career of DeMarco Murray. DMac talks first impressions when it comes to Kenneth Faried, and remembers when he wanted the Nuggets to draft Faried. The style of play in the NBA has changed, and the boys agree Faried is no longer a fit in Michael Malone’s system.
DMac tells Chad LeSean McCoy is in some trouble, and things look bleak for him in this break-in investigation. Chad says the days of the bell-cow back are history, and the NFL game is just different now. DMac says maybe the Broncos backfield is okay after all, and they don’t need Jamaal Charles like Big Al thought they would. DMac & Chad discuss what the Broncos need, and why they might be just fine with a young RB room. DMac thinks of teams that could take on Jamaal Charles right now, and Chad notices that pass protection might be a problem for Denver’s young backs. The boys talk about how amazing the campus at CU Boulder is, and Chad says Colorado is top-notch as far as the lifestyle goes. DMac says it’s embarrassing that CU Boulder doesn’t have a baseball team despite being in the PAC-12. DMac goes over the top winter athletes that ski for CU Boulder, and tells Chad he misses the days of Jeremy Bloom. DMac wants to know what the classes are like at a ski school, and the guys take calls on why CU not having a baseball roster is a joke.
DMac explains to Chad why little league baseball on TV is corrupt, and laughs at ESPN showing women’s boxing on a Friday night. DMac points out the cheating going on in little-league baseball, and why he’s sick of the broken rules piling up. Chad wants to know what’s burning DMac, and he explains that John Elway is the Tim Tebow of NFL executives. The guys take calls agreeing with DMac on his little league baseball take, and why it gets too expensive to hang with the best teams. Also, DMac mentions the advantage the Yankees had for years.
