DMac wants listeners to appreciate how good the Rockies are, and Chad argues with DMac about Croatia & the level of skill in a header. In the Big 3, the guys talk about LeSean McCoy’s investigation, Tim Tebow’s Florida Ring of Fame induction, and the PacMan Jones fight. The boys talk about NFL players getting into trouble during the offseason, and if it’s hard to avoid. DMac talks about rehabbing from injuries, and the advantages the team facility offers.
DMac & Chad discuss the LeSean McCoy police report, and why there is due process & presumed innocence. DMac notes McCoy’s shady past, and asks Chad what he would do if he were the Buffalo Bills at this point. DMac is still steaming about Jake McGee last night, and Big Sexy breaks the news that the Rockies have reinstated Bryan Shaw from the 10-day DL. DMac insists that the Rockies must be better than that when it comes to the bullpen, and voices his frustration with having fun at the ballpark. DMac watches the video of the PacMan Jones fight, and tells Chad that Jones had multiple opportunities to walk away from the fight. Chad defends PacMan Jones, and asks DMac what he would do in a similar situation. Also, DMac asks Chad why the offseason is a danger zone for players. The boys discuss how young athletes get involved in dramatic situations & get derailed from playing the game they love. DMac says there’s nothing wrong with falling in love at a young age, and offers precautions to players in the league.
DMac congratulates Croatia on their World Cup win, and notes that the Rockies have reinstated Bryan Shaw from the DL after Jake McGee blew up in the 7th last night. DMac is frustrated with the bad baseball Colorado played, and Chad wants to know what happens tonight. Also, DMac explains to Chad why Vail has no interest in sponsoring Broncos Stadium @ Mile High, and how the Broncos can track their players’ study habits via iPad. DMac says pitchers are freaks, and barely part of the baseball team, similar to a kicker’s role with in a football team. DMac says pitchers are nuts, but important. Chad asks if pitchers have to do all the same stuff with the team that batters do, and the guys laugh about crazy Broncos getting cut after the Super Bowl. A caller asks Chad about his tackle on ‘Rocket’ Raghib Ismail in the Buffs game against Notre Dame years ago in 1990, and Chad thanks his lucky stars for a few breaks that went his way in that game. Also, DMac lists the ways an NFL practice is completely broken & stupid.
