The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO! The guys talk about Case Keenum hosting a passing camp in Houston, and if it’s important for the receivers to get on the same page with their QB1 in any way possible. Dmac asks Big Al if it’s time to trade Nolan Arenado, and Al says yes.
Dmac asks Big Al if it’s time to trade Nolan Arenado, and Al says yes. Al points out that now is the time to trade Arenado for as many assets as possible before he gets up & walks out of Coors for good, and for nothing in return. DMac says he’s not sure Arenado is campaigning to get out of here, he’s campaigning to win. DMac gives some props to Tim Tebow, and Big Al says we have ourselves a ballplayer in Timmy. Big Al wonders if Kawhi Leonard will be playing for the San Antonio Spurs next year, and asks DMac if the Spurs should trade him now. Also, the XFL’s bold initiative of $500 million in spending, and Saquon Barkley taking advice from Marshawn Lynch. The guys talk about gambling on sports, and Al debates with DMac about gambling being available at your local 7-11 in Colorado someday just like marijuana.
Al & DMac discuss Jameis Winston and if he’s on thin ice in Tampa Bay & with the NFL. The guys compare Jameis Winston’s career path to Von Miller’s. The guys talk about Case Keenum hosting a passing camp in Houston, and if it’s important for the receivers to get on the same page with their QB1 in any way possible. Al says this is the Golden State Warriors’ league for the next three years, and the Nuggets have to be ready when their time comes. Al says LeBron James is a great player, but he won’t win multiple championships unless he goes to Golden State. DMac compares Jameis Winston’s allegations to those of other NFL players, and asks Al if Winston is a good enough quarterback to make it through assertions such as these. Also, DMac questions why Big Al loved the Bradley Chubb pick so much.
The guys take calls on whether or not the Colorado Rockies should trade Nolan Arenado, and compare the situation with Arenado to the Matt Duchene saga with the Avalanche & Troy Tulowitzki with these same Rockies. DMac mentions the 104.3 The Fan staff and how many members are in some sort of Hall of Fame. Big Al starts the campaign to get DMac into some sort of Hall of Fame, and DMac talks about his small high school. Big Al wants the Rockies to be careful with how they treat their bullpen from here on out. Al is afraid free agent pitchers will no longer want to pitch in Colorado due to the decline in their numbers at Coors.
