The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!
In the first hour, Big Al and Dmac discuss the Broncos’ decision to bring DeMarcus Ware in as a part time pass rush specialist, and whether or not the team should hire a full time coach for the position, and who the prime candidates would be. If Ware can be considered a consultant for the Broncos, could Big Al, as a former player, fill the same role? With the recent reports that Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio, where will LeBron land this offseason? Can he put together a lineup capable of taking down the Warriors and/or Rockets, or will he follow in the footsteps of Kevin Durant and join one of them? The guys talk World Cup, and the thrilling finish to the Spain vs Portugal match.
In the second hour, Big Al and Dmac remember the Broncos’ Super Bowl 32 winning team, and recount how tightly-knit and competitive that team was. Al gives his list of running backs that will make this year’s Broncos squad, starting with his clear choice for feature back: Royce Freeman. Al also reveals what he believes the future holds for Andy Janovich, Isaiah McKenzie and Carlos Henderson.
In the third hour, Big Al and Dmac discuss Emmanuel Sanders, and his reluctance to move into the slot this season. Will the Broncos be able to pay him after this year? Should they? Big Al makes his pitch to define what type of running back former Oregon Duck Royce Freeman will be for the Broncos. The guys take a look at the 2018 NFL draft in retrospect. Dmac shares the bizarre experience he found himself on his most recent flight.
