Broncos to hire DeMarcus Ware as pass-rush consultant, per report

The Denver Broncos are getting the band back together … sort of.
First reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the club has hired former linebacker DeMarcus Ware as a part-time pass-rushing consultant.
According to Schefter, Ware will work a few days a week to a few days a month, and The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala reports the future-Hall of Famer has an exclusive deal with the Broncos.
DeMarcus Ware is at the Broncos’ facility now to finalize a deal to become a part-time pass-rushing consultant. He’ll work with the linemen and LBs a few times a month on technique. Not a game-planning role. I’m told this is an exclusive deal (Cowboys were hoping to get him too.)

Ware joined the Broncos during OTAs as a consultant as well, but only for limited time.
Head coach Vance Joseph said last week it was good to have him out at practice, especially since he played with several of the current defensive lineman and linebackers only a few years ago.
“They have great respect for DeMarcus. He’s got so much knowledge when it comes to pass rush, not just for the outside guys but for the inside guys also, like (Derek) Wolfe and those guys,” Joseph said.
