The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE in studio! Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about Denver’s height issue when it comes to Case Keenum & Isaiah McKenzie, and if the depth chart is in pencil when it comes to the running backs & linebackers.
The guys talk about the Broncos getting a pass-rush coach or just sticking with the ones they have. DMac is concerned about Shane Ray’s weight, and asks Chad how it gets any better than Von Miller & the physical gifts he’s been given. DMac asks Chad what Case Keenum looked like today out at Dove Valley for Broncos OTAs, and what the NFL should do about the National Anthem. Also, Brett Favre’s pain killer addiction & players being busted for marijuana. The guys talk about the Broncos staying away from injury during OTAs, and Chad notes that Philadelphia has already lost one of their linebackers to injury. Also, DMac asks Chad if he was happy with the QB rotation today.
DMac is concerned with the amount of construction distracting the Broncos coaches & players, and Chad says it will be interesting to see if the same amount of construction goes on tomorrow. Also, DMac finds out if Chad would start Christian Hackenberg over Paxton Lynch after Hackenberg is traded to the Raiders for a conditional pick. Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about Denver’s height issue when it comes to Case Keenum & Isaiah McKenzie, and if the depth chart is in pencil when it comes to the running backs & linebackers. Cecil says the double-digit sack talk for Bradley Chubb is fun, but a more realistic goal for him should be around six sacks. Also, Cecil explains why he fears the Broncos’ QB room might be simply average. Listen to the interview HERE! DMac rips on Mike Evans for being a ‘Chubbaholic’ and wants to put the best fantasy football player in Colorado in charge of the Denver Broncos. Chad confirms with DMac that Paxton Lynch was the best-looking QB out there for the Broncos today, and DMac says he had trouble taking it all in out there. Also, the boys decide if Case Keenum’s No. 51 ranking in the NFL Top-100 is valid.
Chad gives DMac his impression on OTAs, and Chad says he saw nothing negative during the first day to get everyone going. DMac thought it was a little surprising to see Gary Kubiak out there watching & taking notes. We hear from Case Keenum on the ‘No Fly Zone’ and DMac rips Keenum for not knowing the nickname for the Broncos’ secondary. DMac gets Chad’s take on the changes to the kickoff rule in the NFL and if it will make things safer.
