The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the show to say we’ve never seen a sequence like Jordan Hicks’ this weekend, and offensive identity is still a problem with the Denver Broncos.
DMac is excited about a kid he coached in baseball scoring the winning run, and Big Al is excited about the Jordan collection he saw at Cecil’s house. Al says DMac shouldn’t believe in OTAs, and DMac says he’s a big practice guy. Also, Big Al lays out how to be a better team player. In the Big 3, DMac asks Al how the Vegas Golden Knights aren’t one of the biggest stories in sports, and who Al is rooting for in the Stanley Cup Final. Al is amazed with St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jordan Hicks, and DMac says 105-MPH is something to get used to in the majors. Also, DMac wants to know why Tebow & Kaepernick don’t play in Canada like Johnny Manziel, and Big Al takes a look at Richie Incognito as Denver’s new starting Guard. The guys try to figure out how the Golden Knights got so far this season, and if the Avs could touch that type of production.
DMac breaks down the Bowlen trust, and Big Al isn’t so sure about the NFL Draft coming to Denver or New England. The guys continue their talk about the NFL Draft and if it would ever come to Denver. DMac is looking forward to a new-age baseball facility being built in Eastern Colorado, using Dicks Sporting Good Park as the blueprint. Big Al says the draft doesn’t feel as big as the Super Bowl, and wonders if Denver will ever get into the conversation when it comes to hosting a Super Bowl. The boys consider bringing back Owen Daniels as a pass-catching TE, and Big Al says Denver screwed up with Virgil Green. Also, Al thinks Jeff Heuerman will be cut, Al & DMac decide what players Peyton Manning trusted, and why Bennie Fowler started over Cody Latimer. Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the show to say we’ve never seen a sequence like Jordan Hicks’ this weekend, and offensive identity is still a problem with the Denver Broncos. Troy wants to know what the offense will look like with Keenum under center, and if the offensive line can establish themselves & get the run game going. Listen to the interview HERE!
The guys talk about their kids doing something other than sports, and when the new fields in Windsor will be built. Al lists the athletes here in Denver that were better than Von Miller. Al & DMac decide if the Broncos are ready to win now, and if their roster turnover was enough to boost them into playoff territory in 2018. DMac says Denver has done everything right so far, and Al is still worried how Case Keenum will work with Bill Musgrave. The guys debate who is in charge up top when it comes to the Broncos organization, and talk about the massive changes in the coaching staff & roster.
