Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post joins the show to talk about respect for the game of baseball, and why CarGo did not bunt to break up Jordan Lyles’ perfect game yesterday. Patrick says its still bombs away at Coors Field, and DMac gives him some questions to ask Bud Black. Also, why the Rockies think a magic button will be pushed, and why the rest of the division isn’t doing much. Listen to the interview HERE!
Big Al says there is no smoking gun in the Colin Kaepernick situation, and there’s no way he’s playing for the Broncos now. DMac rolls through the names of great players that had 10 sacks in their rookie season, and tells Al after reading the list of names that 10 sacks should be the standard for Bradley Chubb in his rookie year. Also, Big Al expects 45 team sacks for the Broncos in 2018 or he will be disappointed. DMac asks Al what exactly we are watching in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, and Al is disgusted with the play of JR Smith. Also, why there is no longer any reason for LeBron to stay in Cleveland. Big Al gives DMac his All-Teammate Team of guys he played with in the league that personify the engaging qualities a team player needs, including Zimmerman, Schlereth & Nalen.
DMac wonders if Kaep even wants back in the NFL. Big Al runs through what Kaep had to do to see the field, and tells the players to never take a team-friendly deal & always take market value. The guys talk about perfect situations remaining for Kaepernick, and DMac considers Carolina, who currently employs Cam Newton, another running quarterback. Also, Big Al explains how to keep a job. The fellas debate the NBA Western Conference Finals, and if the Rockets will even be able to steal a game from the Golden State Warriors.
