May 15, 2018, 12:29 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 05/15/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Tuesday’s show the guys talk about what it takes constructing a roster in the NFL, the Broncos backup quarterback job with Chad Kelly and Paxton Lynch set to battle it out and leadership for the Broncos in 2018 on offense and defense.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil get into a quarterback discussion to start the show. Why is everyone praising Texans head coach Bill O’Brien for his quarterback eye? This guy didn’t even want Deshaun Watson. Cecil gives his Fresh Take and doesn’t hold back on why Bill O’Brien shouldn’t be getting as much praise as he’s getting right now for his quarterback judgement. The guys also get into if it’s harder to find an elite top five quarterback or to find the rest of the 52 man roster. Pritchard & Cecil discuss that and much more on the quarterback position. The fellas also break down the Broncos quarterback position and what the team needs to do in order to find success with Keenum.

Pro Football Focus released their list of who they think will be candidates for comeback player of the year. Where do Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders fall on the list? Pritchard & Cecil discuss who they feel on the Broncos could be the greatest candidate for comeback player of the year. The guys break that down and much more!

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about comments made recently by Broncos head coach Vance Joseph about quarterback Paxton Lynch as he prepares to battle Chad Kelly in training camp for the Broncos backup quarterback job. The guys get into VJ saying Paxton should relax. Cecil Lammey explains why this is either good or bad for someone like Paxton Lynch to hear that advice. Mike Pritchard then goes into why this might be Paxton Lynch’s last shot at trying to find a role on this Broncos team. The guys break that  down and then look at some other rookies entering their first season in the league. The fellas talk about some guys that aren’t being talked about very much but players that could also make a bigger impact in their first season in Denver.

Also, the guys talk about the Broncos direction this off-season and if the team has done enough in free agency and the draft. Pritchard & Cecil break down why the Broncos need to be looking ahead this year instead of looking behind them to last year. Mike Pritchard weighs in on that and breaks it down from a players perspective and why players need to keep it positive looking forward to a new season.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about the void of leadership the Broncos seemed to have last season. The guys break down who the Broncos need to step up as a leader in 2018 and which players specifically on offense need to be the primary leaders on offense this season. The fellas then transition their focus to defense and the two bookend pass rushers the defense will have this season. The guys talk about which level of defense the Broncos might have this year and why the Broncos need to shape their defense around those guys. Plus, the guys talk about offensive spacing for wide receivers and break down whether or not the teams newest wide receivers can start for the Broncos offense in 2018. Mike Pritchard explains why they could start but why he would rather the rookies be eased into a starting role in their respective careers.

For the rest of the third hour the guys talk about some news and notes from around the NFL. The guys break down some of the latest headlines and get into some of the latest with the Denver Broncos as well as the off-season rolls on towards the start of training camp later this summer.
