May 11, 2018, 12:49 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 05/11/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Friday’s show the guys talk about Broncos rookie mini camp getting started out at Dove Valley, what type of impact Bradley Chubb could have on Von Miller in the upcoming seasons and if Chad Kelly is already leading the teams battle for the backup quarterback position.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about some veteran quarterbacks in the NFL. What’s with some of these veteran quarterbacks being petty? Ben Roethlisberger crying over Mason Rudolph? Joe Flacco not returning Lamar Jackson’s phone calls? Are these veterans actually doing the right thing and focusing on themselves? It’s not their job to develop the young quarterback behind them but they’re also still starting for their respective teams. Pritchard & Cecil go through some of these veteran quarterbacks and get into their future as well as the tough transition between older quarterbacks and younger quarterbacks for franchises. The guys also discuss how the Broncos quarterback discussion was settled this off-season with the addition of quarterback Case Keenum.

Plus, Broncos rookie mini camp gets fired up today. Who should we expect to show up big? Is it too easy to just say Bradley Chubb? What about Royce Freeman and Daesean Hamilton? The guys go through some of the newest Broncos and which guys have something to show out at mini camp today and this weekend. The guys break down that and look at the Broncos backup quarterback job. Cecil thinks Chad Kelly will crush Paxton Lynch in the competition for the backup quarterback.

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Broncos tight end room as Jake Butt joined Stokley & Zach yesterday. The guys react to some comments made by Jake Butt yesterday on his thoughts on the current group of guys in the tight end room. The fellas break down whether or not the Broncos have done enough to address their tight end room. Cecil Lammey believes that the Broncos should go out and explore some more veteran options in order to keep adding to the teams tight end room. Mike Pritchard agrees slightly but also says that he likes the prospects with some of the Broncos young tight ends right now. Also, the guys talk about whether or not the Broncos have put together the right pieces in order to run the current offensive scheme that they are running. Mike Pritchard thinks they do and breaks down why some of the newest Broncos will remind you of past great Broncos.

Also, the guys talk about the Broncos current running back group and a certain veteran running back option that’s out there right now. The guys weigh in on if the Broncos should bring in Adrian Peterson in the backfield. Pritch says they shouldn’t and Cecil Lammey says they should. The fellas debate that and look ahead to training camp battles later this Summer.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil the guys talk about the Broncos backup quarterback job again and whether or not you will see Chad Kelly beat out Paxton Lynch by a wide margin in training camp for the teams backup job. The fellas break down also what Paxton Lynch could possibly do this year to have another shot at the teams quarterback position some day. Pritchard & Cecil weigh in on how they could see this backup quarterback job playing out for the Broncos. Also, the guys transition to a topic about the Broncos defense in 2018. Mike Pritchard explains why the Broncos defense will be enhanced in 2018 and why Bradley Chubb will make an impact for the team sooner rather than later. Pritchard & Cecil break down what type of impact Chubb could have on Broncos linebacker Von Miller moving forward this season and beyond. The guys break that down and some other thoughts on the Broncos offensively and defensively heading into training camp later this summer.

For the rest of the final hour the guys talk about the Broncos off-season so far and Broncos rookie mini camp getting fired up this weekend starting today out at Dove Valley. The fellas discuss some other news and notes from around the NFL as well right now. The guys break that down and much more as the off-season rolls on.
