DMac asks Al what the Nuggets should do about being stuck in between the draft lottery & playoffs, and if Al is still excited about the Tiger vs. Phil matchup. The guys dive into Big Ben Roethlisberger’s situation, and decide if Ben is being a baby. Al says the Steelers drafted Mason Rudolph to stack their QB core, and DMac says it was to call Big Ben’s bluff about retiring.
The guys take a look at the Broncos draft, and Big Al decides if he’s still happy with the Bradley Chubb pick. Al prepares Broncos fans for Shane Ray to be the starter, and not Chubb. Al tells DMac just how rare that feat is, and why the Broncos are starved for big plays like that since Wade Phillips & DeMarcus Ware left. DMac asks Al about Mike D’Antoni completely flipping the NBA game on its head with three-pointers and short practice sessions, and says no sport makes things more complicated than NFL football. Al & DMac decide what the Broncos will get out of their Tight End position this year, and what to expect out of Rookie mini-camp.
We get an update on Tiger & Phil at the Players Championship, and if they are staying away from the water. DMac wants to know where this new information about Matt Patricia’s sex assault allegations came from. The guys remember ‘Vanilla Ice’ and Big Al says he was busy winning national championships at CU when ‘Ice Ice Baby’ was at No. 1. Also, extensive background checks and fingerprints, as well as being ‘innocent until proven guilty.’ The guys wrap up the show taking phone calls on Matt Patricia’s sticky situation.
