May 10, 2018, 12:31 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 05/10/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Thursday’s show the guys talk about expectations for some Broncos rookies, what type of impact running back Royce Freeman will have in 2018 and some thoughts on Chad Kelly heading into the season.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil start out the show with Cecil being fired up for his Fresh Take. Who says you can’t grade a draft? We all know Cecil is very passionate about scouting, he lets it all out in his Fresh Take. Cecil Lammey breaks down why you can start to grade this years draft class already. The guys break that down and then get into one of those draft picks this year by the Broncos, Bradley Chubb. Are expectations for Bradley Chubb too high? People seem to think he is a lock for double digit sacks. Should we pump the brakes on the rookie? Or is he just that good? Pritchard & Cecil lay out some of their expectations for Chubb in his rookie season.

Plus, why did it take so long for Case Keenum to perform at a high level? Was it lack of development? Was he just in the right system? Or has he finally found his stride? The guys look at Keenum’s career overall and why he seemed to find a groove last year in Minnesota.

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil discuss new Broncos running back Royce Freeman. The guys react to some comments on Royce Freeman from this morning as Louis Riddick joined Schlereth & Evans. The guys get into how many carries they believe Freeman can have a game for Denver and still make a big impact. The guys then dive deeper into the Broncos running back group and if Devontae Booker will make the team this season. Cecil Lammey weighs in on why he thinks that Booker now is on the bubble. Mike Pritchard breaks down why you can’t write off Booker yet and that you have to see what he can bring to the table in training camp and the preseason. Plus, the guys talk about last years draft class for the Denver Broncos. Can they salvage anything from last season? The fellas break that down.

Also, what should expectations be for Broncos tight end Jake Butt this year. Mike Pritchard explains why Butt could catch around 8 touchdowns and have a successful season. Cecil Lammey believes that Butt needs to have a certain yardage total this season. The guys debate that and much more!

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil discuss the Broncos quarterback job with it looking like right now that either Chad Kelly or Paxton Lynch will serve as the teams back up quarterback behind Case Keenum this season. The guys go into a scenario and ask the question of, what if Chad Kelly is already ahead of Lynch for the Broncos back up quarterback job? Pritchard & Cecil weigh in on what Lynch needs to do to stay in the race and possibly win the job. The guys also do the same thing for Chad Kelly as Kelly sat out all of last season. Also, the guys talk about some comments from C.J. Anderson on his time in Denver and also if the Broncos will miss C.J. Anderson at running back in 2018.

For the rest of hour three Pritchard & Cecil weigh in on where the NFL Draft might end up in 2019 and 2020. The guys break down why the draft should come to Denver and also gives some thoughts on some other news and notes from around the NFL. The guys discuss that and much more as the off-season roles on.
