Players that need to get off to a great start 2018: ‘Pritchard & Cecil’

Apr 17, 2018, 12:30 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 04/17/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Tuesday’s show the guys talk about if there’s any scenario where the Broncos would trade back in the draft, if quarterback Case Keenum can be considered a franchise start quarterback right now and three players that need to get off to a hot start for the Broncos.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk more about the news from yesterday with the Broncos releasing running back C.J. Anderson. Cecil Lammey has had a full day to recover from his loss of C.J. Anderson. What does this mean for the broncos running back situation a day after the move was done? Do they target a running back in the draft early or later on? Or is it time for Devontae Booker to step up in 2018? Pritchard & Cecil go into what the impact and ramifications are after this move was made by the Denver Broncos.

Plus, Pritch hates the idea of drafting a slot wide receiver. He explains his reasons why, and what direction the Broncos should go at the wide receiver position. Cecil Lammey goes into his thoughts on the wide receiver position. Additionally the Broncos are guaranteed a great player at five most likely. Who should they target? The guys break that down.

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about if there is a scenario where the Broncos trade out of the top ten this year to gather more picks. The guys look at some of the latest mock drafts and one specific mock draft that has the Broncos trading twice in the first round to gather more draft picks. The guys break down why that’s not something that would most likely happen this season. Pritchard & Cecil do look at one scenario where the Broncos would trade back in order to get picks not only this season but in next seasons draft. The fellas also jump into the Broncos needing to find players that are fits not only in the short term but in the long term. Pritchard & Cecil break that down.

Also, Pritchard & Cecil talk about superstar players and if Case Keenum falls under the category right now of a franchise quarterback or a superstar. The guys break that down and much more about the upcoming draft.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about three players that need to get off to a hot start this season for Denver. The guys go through the three players in linebacker Shane Ray, tight end Jake Butt and corner back Bradley Roby. Pritchard & Cecil explain why Shane Ray being a first round pick a few years ago will dictate a lot of things for the Broncos defense in 2018. The fellas then jump into why the Broncos need for a better offense and a tight end will put pressure on Jake Butt to get back on the field this season to have some value. Finally, the guys talk about Bradley Roby and why the Broncos trading away Hall of Fame corner back Aqib Talib away puts pressure on Roby to step up and be a legit starting corner back in the NFL.

For the rest of the final hour the guys talk about some other topics from around the NFL right now. The guys also listen in live as some Broncos talk to the media from out at Dove Valley today as the team starts some of their off-season workout programs.
