Apr 16, 2018, 12:20 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 04/16/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Monday’s show the guys talk about C.J. Anderson being cut by the Broncos, how this move impacts the locker room and what this move means for the rest of the off-season plans for the Denver Broncos.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the release of running back C.J. Anderson today by the Broncos. Does this mean Saquon Barkley is the Broncos number one target at number five overall? The guys talk about the first round of the draft and what this move might mean for the teams first round plans. What does this mean for the teams offense and leadership void? The guys also look at leaders in the locker room and most certainly the leaders on offense right now that still remain.

Also, Pritch does not think the Broncos are telling us anything by cutting C.J. Mike Pritchard explains why this is just strictly a business move. Does he have a point, or is there more to this? Cecil Lammey & Mike Pritchard debate that. Plus, the Broncos have a lot of holes to fill this off-season. Is running back the number one spot to fill now? The guys talk about that and much more!

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk more about the Broncos cutting running back C.J. Anderson today. The guys look at how this move could impact the mood in the locker room for the Denver Broncos. The guys get into if this move makes the veterans and other players uncomfortable in the locker room. Pritchard & Cecil talk about the benefits and negatives of making guys feel a little uncomfortable with their job security. Mike Pritchard explains why this can be a good thing for a team but that the leaders on the team now have to step up inside the locker room. The guys talk about that and then get into some running back prospects in the draft.

The fellas talk about some running back prospects that could be taken later in the draft and if the Broncos should have their eye on them at all. The guys look at the possibility of the Broncos taking a running back now later in the draft.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about if the Broncos tipped their hand at all regarding their first round pick because of the release of C.J. Anderson. Cecil Lammey believes that the Broncos may have tipped their hand by releasing Anderson and basically have told the league that Saquon Barkley could be a real option for the Broncos at number five overall. Mike Pritchard doesn’t believe that and thinks that the Broncos couldn’t work out a trade or a new deal so they decided to let him go. The guys debate this topic and then talk about the bigger picture with why C.J. Anderson was let go by the team today. Cecil Lammey explains his reasoning for why today.

For the rest of the final hour of the show the guys talk about a number of topics including quarterback Baker Mayfield meeting with the Broncos tonight. The guys talk about what to expect that meeting to be like.
