Thursday April 12th, 2018

The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Big Al is sure now about why Michael Malone needs to be fired and why Colin Kaepernick will never play for the Seattle Seahawks. Al tells DMac he’s found the next Drew Brees, and DMac is excited about the Avalanche tonight against the Predators.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

The guys talk about who should take the last shot between Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, and if the pressure was on the Nuggets or the Timberwolves last night. Al says it’s time to move on from Michael Malone, and it has not been a successful year. Al says if it’s been three years and your team is not playing in the playoffs, they need a new voice in the locker room. DMac & Big Al discuss Russell Westbrook, James Harden or LeBron for MVP in 2018, and Big Al is sure now about why Colin Kaepernick will never play for the Seattle Seahawks. Al tells DMac he’s found the next Drew Brees, and DMac is excited about the Avalanche tonight against the Predators. The boys break down pregame traditions in the NFL, including what to do with the National Anthem. Big Al says Eric Reid is an outstanding NFL safety, and it’s a wonder why he hasn’t gotten a look from more teams.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

The guys talk about what the Broncos will do with the number 5 pick overall in the NFL Draft, and listen to audio from Bradley Chubb saying he has not yet met with Denver. DMac says the Broncos have spent too much time with the ‘Big 4’ QBs to consider drafting Bradley Chubb or Saquon Barkley, and Big Al says he’s done some extra research on Josh Allen. Big Al asks DMac what constitutes a fight in MLB, and DMac mentions the ‘code of baseball’ and when you can expect a pitch deliberately thrown your way. Also, whether or not fighting should still be allowed in the NHL. Big Al kicks off his Big Board, and has Kyle Lauletta as his No. 8 QB overall, just behind Josh Allen. Al loves Logan Woodside, and says the Toledo QB will be a full-blown star in five years. Also, why Al has Josh Rosen as his No. 1 QB overall. Big Sexy lays out his beef with the officials in last night’s Nuggets game, and DMac says that’s just basketball. DMac says the Nuggets had their chances, and the guys agree Jokic missed a couple key opportunities down the stretch. Al says the combination of Murray & Harris should be fabulous down the line.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

DMac asks Al how many games Michael Malone cost the team due to bad coaching, and Big Al talks about principles the Nuggets needed to apply in the beginning of the year. DMac says the Nuggets won some games they weren’t supposed to, and it all evens out in the end. DMac recaps the Rockies game so far, and tips his cap to DJ LeMahieu as DJ continues to produce from the leadoff spot. We hear from Avs coach Jared Bednar and star goal-scorer Nathan MacKinnon about the Avs being excited for their first playoff game against the Predators. DMac is sad about not getting a day off, and marvels at how long some Colorado sports broadcasters have been covering their respective teams.
