Which position group is the strongest in the draft this year?: ‘Pritchard & Cecil’

Apr 11, 2018, 12:30 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 04/11/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Wednesday’s show the guys talk about where the Broncos most need to improve still, if the Broncos should reconsider taking someone like Saquon Barkley because of how deep this year’s running back draft class is and quarterbacks to consider drafting later in the draft.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one of the show the guys jump right into things. “The Broncos need to be hungry, not starving,” Cecil Lammey said in his Fresh Take. What does he mean by this? Pritch says this will always be Broncos Country, but at what point does another team take over if the Broncos continue to struggle? Pritchard & Cecil talk about what’s next this off-season for the Broncos as well and if they could see any other moves being made as well. Also, the Giants could be the wildcard of this draft. They are the team most likely to screw up the Broncos draft board. Who is the Player they are targeting? Pritchard & Cecil go through that player and how it may change the teams plans.

Plus, Pritch gives you his three quarterbacks that he thinks can become franchise guys. The guys debate those quarterbacks and move forward with whether or not the Broncos will have a shot at any of these quarterbacks

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about the quarterbacks in the draft that could be taken later in the draft. The guys break down the short list of quarterbacks that could be taken in the later rounds of the draft after the initial top quarterbacks go after the board. Pritchard & Cecil get into which quarterbacks later in the draft might be worth a shot and if that’s the way the Broncos could add another quarterback later in the draft. The guys then start to look at the first round of the draft again and top prospect running back Saquon Barkley. The guys go over some comments from Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettis about Barkley. The guys also give their thoughts on Barkley.

Also, Pritchard & Cecil talk about some other players in the draft including offensive lineman Quenton Nelson. The guys talk about where he might go in the draft and if the Broncos could still be in on Nelson.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil get into the running back class in this year’s draft being so deep and if that should make teams like the Broncos think twice about taking Saquon Barkley in the first round of the draft. Mike Pritchard explains why that if you feel Barkley is a once in a generation guy, you shouldn’t pass on him just because there is a deep running back class this season. Cecil Lammey also gives his thoughts on Barkley in the draft and what he brings to the table. The fellas then jump into a conversation about if the Broncos want to take a quarterback in the first round, but what if most of the top five quarterbacks are gone? The guys give their thoughts on if a Josh Rosen or Lamar Jackson would make sense for the Broncos to draft.

For the rest of the final hour the guys talk about what preparation it takes for players in the NFL to get ready for the season. The guys break down that and what the Broncos most still need help with this off-season.
