Thursday April 5th, 2018

The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Big Al & DMac talk about the signing of Marquette King, and how many punt returns we gave up last season. The boys agree we need an impact player at No. 5 overall, and Big Al wants the Broncos to take the most explosive player they can find.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

The guys talk playoff implications at Pepsi. Big Al tells DMac all about his trip to Asia, and the boys break down the Broncos’ signing of Marquette King. DMac compares King’s average punt to Riley Dixon’s, and says King is making significantly less with the Broncos than he was with the Raiders. Al says one of the biggest rules about being a punter is you can’t have your punts blocked, and Dixon had two blocked last season. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, Big Al & DMac talk about Mel Kiper vs Todd McShay after McShay backstabbed Kiper in their latest mock draft by making hypothetical trades. DMac asks Al about McGregor vs the UFC after Conor McGregor ruined a UFC 223 media event & injured another fighter after glass was shattered on a UFC bus from McGregor throwing chairs & rails. McGregor had his UFC title belt stripped by Dana White earlier in the week. Also, the guys talk about the Masters, Tony Finau, Tiger Woods and the incomparable Sergio Garcia putting five balls in the water on the 15th hole. The fellas are pumped up about the possibility of playoffs at Pepsi Center, as the Colorado Avalanche & Denver Nuggets prepare for the biggest game of their respective seasons. The Nuggets tip off at Pepsi tonight against the Timberwolves, and the Avs play in San Jose tonight.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

Big Al & DMac talk about the signing of Marquette King, and how many punt returns we gave up last season. The boys agree we need an impact player at No. 5 overall, and Big Al wants the Broncos to take the most explosive player they can find. Also, DMac finds out the highest Big Al would go to draft Lamar Jackson. The guys go through draft scenarios featuring explosive players, and Big Al says the Broncos will take Chubb if they are trying to get better right now. Al admits he likes Baker Mayfield, and tells DMac Denver needs a dynamic playmaker in order to draft a QB. DJ LeMahieu has been on a tear, and DMac tells the listeners we will see everyone at Blake St Tavern for the Rockies’ home opener. The guys go through some draft scenarios where the Broncos draft Rosen, Chubb or Mayfield, and DMac asks Al if he really knows why Gary Kubiak is here. Also, Big Al tells DMac the Broncos still want to see this thing through with Paxton Lynch. DMac is disgusted with Emmanuel Sanders for recruiting Eric Decker to come to Denver on social media, and Big Al says some Broncos made it look like if we didn’t get Cousins we’re screwed. DMac mentions Sanders dragging DT into his campaigns, and says Decker was in town recently.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

The boys talk P.W.A. – Punters Wit Attitude, and hear Marquette King make fun of Jon Gruden. Al says King can be the Aqib Talib of punters, and matches his mouth with swag & athleticism. Big Al runs through the list of former Cleveland Browns QBs and wouldn’t mind if the Browns scooped two QBs in ’18. The guys talk about NFL pro-days and who was at NC State’s pro-day to watch Bradley Chubb, including Bill Belichick. Big Al talks scheme, and if Bradley Chubb would fit well into Denver’s system. Reports are out that Baker Mayfield is facing pressure to attend the ’18 NFL Draft, and Big Al is concerned about Baker still. The guys talk about the list of players that will attend the draft, and Big Al says getting drafted in the first round is a big moment for these players & there will be some second-day suckers.
