The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE in studio! The boys play a quick game of ‘Where in the World is Big Al’ and take some calls siding with Johnny Manziel about the Cleveland Browns organization.
The guys talk about the Von Miller shark & if Von could be facing any legal trouble from the event. DMac says all these Broncos visits matter, and marvels at the new Charlie Blackmon deal in Denver. Also, why Elway could be much too focused on all the QBs in the draft to draft any other position in the first round. Tony Finau turns his ankle at the Par-3 contest at the Masters, and Julian Edelman possibly saves a school from tragedy. RGIII is headed to Baltimore, and DMac & Chad are left wondering why Kaepernick hasn’t gotten another chance in the NFL. Also, DMac asks Chad if he is excited to see Tiger Woods back at the Masters. Johnny Manziel has some choice words about the Cleveland Browns organization, and DMac & Chad compare & contrast Mel Kiper Jr & Todd McShay’s latest mock drafts.
The guys talk about the latest & greatest food trucks, and Chad gives DMac some insight on where to find the best ones. DMac talks about the rise & fall of Johnny Manziel, and what it took for him to realize who he was. Chad tells Johnny Manziel at some point it’s on the player to be prepared, and DMac tells Paxton he’s toast with all these QB visits set for Denver. DMac compares the Broncos draft to driving a car, and asks the callers how much time & effort should be dedicated to the engine. Also, Chad says what if this QB plan gets a flat tire, and DMac says he’s not against Case Keenum.
DMac sets the scene for an episode of ‘The Godfather’ and says Kubiak was only brought back to help Elway find a QB. DMac tells Chad unless QBs go 1, 2, 3 and 4 the Broncos will draft one, QB is everything that makes the car run and Elway needs to go big or go home. DMac goes over the Nuggets big win last night, as well as Charlie Blackmon’s new deal in Colorado. The guys take calls on what the Broncos should do with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The guys wrap the show with arguments for why the Broncos should still take a QB even if the top four are off the board when their pick comes around.
