The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Big Al talks about the QBs in the ’18 NFL Draft & which ones profile as first-rounders & which ones have top-5 upside. DMac busts out the mock drafts, and the guys break down when Denver should skip or scoop a QB.
Mike Evans wants Bradley Chubb or Quenton Nelson, and DMac & Big Al decide if Mike is nuts. Al says Chubb is a great player, but he doesn’t fit what we’re trying to do here in Denver. DMac mentions Von Miller on TMZ having a yacht party, and wearing a T-Shirt that DMac would never wear in public. Also, the guys plan a yacht trip to Horsetooth to go fishing with DMac’s kids. Nicki Jhabvala gets snapped at by Sean Payton for trying to scoop Eric Decker to the Saints, and Big Al is glued to Tiger & Rory at Bay Hill. Also, Trevor Siemian tweets out a goodbye to Broncos Country. Big Al is excited that JX TE Marcedes Lewis is on the free agent market, and the guys break down the Broncos’ chances at Allen Hurns. Also, what the addition of Jake Butt does for Denver’s TE core.
The guys talk about all the FAs left on the market, and Big Al says Virgil Green is not just a blocking TE. Al tells DMac what a great, well-rounded TE can do for your team, including control the game. DMac hints at a DT trade, and Big Al takes a look at all the talent coming out of Penn St, including Mike Gesicki. Big Al says Denver needs someone to teach these young stars how to play the game, and conserve energy. Also, if Isaiah McKenzie & Carlos Henderson can turn things around & if Al would rather have Jake Butt or Marcedes Lewis. DMac is all about what will happen with Josh Allen & his pro-day in Wyoming. Al says QB was the position Denver needed the most. DMac wants to trade for a starting Tackle & says the free agent market is mostly damaged goods. Also, Ndamukong Suh goes on tour. DMac talks about the QBs in the ’83 Draft, and tells Al not every QB class is guaranteed to be full of starting-caliber QBs. Also, Big Al says expect a ton of surprises in the ’18 NFL Draft.
