The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Denver7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show with the latest on Aqib Talib, and the Broncos’ trade discussions with the Pats & 49ers. Also, DMac asks Troy about Shane Ray’s weight loss and if Shane is ‘sick’ or still recovering from his wrist issue last season. Adam Schefter & James Palmer join the show to discuss the Aqib Talib trade to the Los Angeles Rams for a 5th-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

DMac asks Al about LeBron James’ destruction of the Nuggets at Pepsi Center, and if the Nuggets can hang on to a playoff spot as the season winds down. Big Al mentions the beauty in the Chris Harris Jr deal, and says Harris didn’t know his own value. DMac says Harris wanted security, and the Broncos deal made sense for him. Al mentions Derek Wolfe’s deal, and says he’s done a good job ‘faking’ like he’s happy with his contract here in Denver. Also, everyone should be thanking Von Miller & Kirk Cousins for setting the market similar to what Tiger Woods did for golf, Brees & Rodgers are waiting for Cousins’ deal to get done and everything is relative when it comes to Cousins leaving $3 million on the table. The guys talk about Derrius Guice and the questions he was asked at the NFL Scouting Combine. DMac suggests combine questions should be handled by the HR department, and Big Al is juiced about Phillip Lindsay’s pro-day. Also, DeMarco Murray’s time in Tennessee has come to an end, and DMac says it’s always tough with 30-year-old running backs. The guys agree LeVeon Bell’s storyline will set the standard for dealing with ultra-talented backs in the future. DMac highlights DeAngelo Hall’s comments about Kirk Cousins’ commitment level in Washington, and Al says attitude can make a difference. Al says NFL teams can overlook the downfalls in a player’s attitude simply due to the raw ability & talent they possess.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

DMac says he’s not a fan of scabs, but does give Brandon Stokley & Zach Bye some credit as they try to land Stoke a Super bowl ring for his time with the NY Giants in 2011, and the Redskins replacement players for their roles in landing Washington a Super Bowl in 1987. Also, the boys review PFF’s latest mock draft that has the Broncos landing Josh Rosen at No 5. The guys talk about the Broncos actively shopping Aqib Talib, and Big Al says Aqib has more leverage than you think. DMac gets Al’s thoughts on Baker Mayfield & if he can develop into a great leader, and Al says there is a reason Von Miller is, and Peyton Manning was the face of the Broncos’ franchise. Also, Al offers up some tips on how to stay out of the news during this ‘quiet period’ when players can hurt their draft stock by doing something stupid. Baker Mayfield’s multiple college incidents are brought to the forefront, and Al & DMac agree everything should be looked into when it comes to patterns of player behavior. Comparisons are drawn for Baker Mayfield, and DMac mentions Jake Plummer as a good assessment of Baker. Denver7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show with the latest on Aqib Talib, and the Broncos’ trade discussions with the Pats & 49ers. Troy says at this point, its unlikely Talib will be back, and Al asks Troy if we will ever see a secondary like the one we’ve recently had in Denver ever again. Renck has his expectations tempered once again for the offense, and says a lot depends on the health of Jake Butt. Also, DMac asks Troy about Shane Ray’s weight loss and if Shane is ‘sick’ or still recovering from his wrist issue last season. Troy says Ray probably shouldn’t have played last year, and those he’s spoken with at the combine believe Ray will be able to put the weight & strength back on. Listen to the interview HERE!

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

Al thinks DMac wants players to be loyal to their team, and DMac tries to explain why an extra $3 million means nothing to Kirk Cousins. Also, Al says Chris Harris Jr undervalued himself & Derek Wolfe should fire his agent after seeing what Malik Jackson got in Jacksonville. The guys take calls on getting Kirk Cousins to Denver, and DMac defends himself regarding his changed opinion on Cousins. DMac says Elway can go several different directions, and he’s open to other options & scenarios at quarterback. Also, Al wants to know where Kirk Cousins goes for his first visit in free agency. DMac thinks Kirk Cousins should go on tour, and Big Al is excited to see who the first teams he visits on his free agency tour will be. Also, Big Al talks visits with coaches when it comes to college players, and how much time is allowed & if there is a culture shock for the player.

LISTEN TO HOUR FOUR HERE!!!

Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about the trade of Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams for a 5th-round pick. Listen to the interview HERE! Brandon Stokley joins the show to talk about the breaking news about Aqib Talib being traded to the Los Angeles Rams for a 5th-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Stoke says Denver was going to have to move on from Talib regardless, due to Bradley Roby’s upcoming deal. Listen to the interview HERE! Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the show to talk about the breaking news on Aqib Talib getting traded to the Los Angeles Rams. Troy mentions Talib’s preferences, including New England, and says the Broncos want Bradley Roby to play. Also, Troy says Talib gave Denver four great years & is one of the Broncos’ best free-agent signings ever, and now has built a strong case to be in the Hall of Fame. Listen to the interview HERE! James Palmer joins the show to discuss the Aqib Talib trade to the Los Angeles Rams for a 5th-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Palmer talks about what Denver may do with their newly-acquired pick, and when the Pats dropped out of the running. Palmer says Talib could have helped the 49ers turn things around quickly, and now Wade Phillips has two dynamic playmakers on the outside in Talib & Peters. Palmer says it’s nice for Denver that LA is picking up the tab on Talib’s remaining money, and its impressive what Denver got back for Talib. Also, DMac asks if there was any sort of disconnect between Aqib Talib & Vance Joseph. Listen to the interview HERE!
